A great place to learn how Al-Anon works is at an Al-Anon meeting in your local community where friends and family members of alcoholics share their experience, strength and hope in dealing with the disease of alcoholism.

Worldwide Meetings
The Al-Anon World Service Organization (WSO) registers and maintains the data base for every in-person, electronic, & phone meeting in every state and throughout the world. This ensures we can find an Al-Anon meeting wherever we go!
What Happens At Meetings?
We go to meetings to share our experience in applying the Al-Anon principles.
We don't give advice. We learn to find our own path to recovery.
Meetings are not group therapy and are not led by a counselor or therapist.
We typically pass a basket for voluntary contributions to pay for group expenses.
We do not reveal to anyone whom we see & what we hear at a meeting.
Al-Anon is a spiritual program - not religious.
Sharing at meetings is optional. If you just want to listen, that is perfectly okay.
You will receive a Newcomer's Welcome Packet at your first meeting.

"My relationships with my family, friends, co-workers, and everyone I meet is so different and so much kinder. I still have a lot of work to do, and that is why I "Keep Coming Back."
