Al-Anon & Alateen

Serving Barry, Clinton, Eaton, Ingham & Shiawassee Counties

What's Al-Anon?

Al-Anon is a fellowship of family and friends of alcoholics.  It is a network of support for those whose loved ones have struggled or are currently struggling with alcohol & the effects of alcoholism.  Al-Anon is a safe space where you can anonymously share your fears, pain, and stories to begin your own recovery.

Who Are Al-Anon Members?

Anyone who is struggling with the effects of someone else’s drinking is welcome to join & participate in Al-Anon. If someone you love has trouble with alcohol and drinking, Al-Anon is the place for you.

In Al-Anon we learn that we didn’t cause someone else to drink, we can’t cure it and we can’t control it.  We put the focus on ourselves and our own recovery.

Al-Anon members have one thing in common: they are personally affected by someone else’s drinking.  Members come from all walks of life, backgrounds, and faiths. While we can’t stop someone else’s drinking, we can seek our own path to recovery which in turn may improve our relationships.

You Are Not Alone

"Let it begin with me. When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, let the hand of Al-Anon & Alateen always be there, and let it begin with me."
